The Villages at Westminster, located in James City County/ Williamsburg, VA is a master planned community originally developed in 1999. The community consists of four beautiful villages of single family homes. These include: Cambridge Village, Kensington Village, Oxford Village and Somerset Village.
The Peninsula Home Builders Association named it their “Neighborhood of the Year” in 1999. Homeowners can enjoy the many community amenities that include a 25 meter six lane pool, clubhouse , soccer field and boat & RV parking. The primary builders who constructed homes in the Villages at Westminster were both Atlantic Homes and GCR although Tommy Louke, Kar San Development and Marque Homes built a few homes there as well. The community encompasses some 213 acres and is located off of Richmond Rd about a mile west of Prime Outlets. It was developed between 1998 and 2004. A total of 381 homes have been built in the neighborhood. Home sizes range from 1500 square foot patio home ranches to 3200 square feet two story homes. Lot sizes range from .13 acre to .33 acre. A large number of the homes back up to wooded green-space giving a sense of privacy unseen in many other neighborhoods. This undeveloped buffer space encompasses over 78 acres which is over a third of the community.
